From time to time, once the shoe is shuffled, the first card turned around will expose what number of cards the dealer must "burn off" (toss away) in between bargains for every hand. So, if the first card over may be the two of Hearts, the dealer will burn up two playing cards involving each hand until eventually the shoe is reshuffled.????????????
